<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">That about nails it for me too. Aside from his comics stuff I started collecting in the late 80's- but that took a nosedive in the mid 90's.

I'd also have to wonder how figures would look today. I keep imagining dated Kenner style figs across the board, besides a few strong companies here and there that may be pushing quality at a lower rate than today's stuff. Probably not as many cult movie licenses issued in figure form as well.

Spider-Man might still have small eyes and cross-hatched webbing.

Talking

I more than likely would:
A. Not collect anything other than more recent
Star Wars as far as 'action figures' are concerned.
B. Still think comics were something to be outgrown by the age of 12 as far as quality reading goes. I would have never had the pleasure of knowing Spawn and all of it's offshoots.(It's certainly possible I could have discovered 'The Sandman, Punisher, Most Vertigo titles, Jinx, Witchblade/Darkness etc, etc....but doubtful. I still remember thinking that 'Graphic Novels' meant ultra hardcore reading, not novels with graphics added.)
C. Have much emptier shelves by comparison
D. (Had a fuller pocketbook/bank acct.)
E. NEVER thought of action figures as an art form.
F. The best for last:
I never would have met (be it via cyberspace or not) so many truly awesome people who I felt an honest kinship with.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I consider many of you to be far better friends with far bigger hearts, minds, and souls, than most of the people I meet and have met in the "real world". So call me "Neo" *shrugs*it really is the truth.
So, for all the great additions to my life, I will say Thank You Todd!
